The mission of the Ushers is to carry out the command of, Matthew 7:12, “So in everything, do to others what you would have done to you. . . .” To esteem the worth of each person, creating a spirit of hospitality, and to pursue integrity of word and deed in our service as ushers.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23, 24
The mission of the Usher is to administer to the needs of the people who are entering to worship.  We serve as co-laborers with the pastor in creating a spiritual atmosphere throughout the congregation.  Our purpose is to assist in meeting their physical needs, by removing anything that might hinder them from freely participating in the worship service and receiving the Word of God.  To convey an attitude with, words, deeds and general behavior, that would encourage the worshiper.
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve” (Matthew 20:28a).
