MISSION and OUT-REACH MINISTRY (MORM) serves as a vital means to help the church obey the Great Commission of our Lord found in Matthew 28:18, 20; to go into the world to reach, teach, and tell men about the love of Jesus and His saving power.   To persuade through loving words and caring actions how they can come to have a relationship with God and how through faith in Him they can have a new beginning.
Our mission is to obey the message and mandate of Jesus Christ.  To serve each other, to serve all people, as we seek to share the Message of hope by doing what God has created us to do.
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10 NIV.)
Our objective is to stand in the gap for Christ Jesus offering benevolence as good Samaritans of Calvary Baptist Church.  Our aim is to reach beyond the walls of Calvary, to let others know the saving work of God through Christ Jesus.
“All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.  For he will deliver the needy who cry out, and the afflicted who have no one to help.  He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.  He will rescue them from oppress and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.” Psalm 72:12-14 NIV.
Based on this scripture and others, our purpose is to care for the needy, the afflicted, and the weak because they are precious to God.  We do this by providing substance that will meet their physical, mental, and spiritual needs.  “ . . . I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 NIV.
Because God feels so strongly about them and loves them so deeply gives us reason to serve as missionaries.
